The
Memories of World War II Intergenerational Project brought together several
Littleton area teenagers and World War II veterans. Each teen interviewed
a veteran about his or her wartime experiences. As a result of these interviews,
which were recorded, the teens compiled biographies of the veterans. Working
together, the teens, veterans and the project coordinators developed Web
pages which included the biographies, historical photographs and current
photographs. This project took place in 2001 at the Bemis Public Library
in Littleton, Colorado. Project coordinators were Mary Manley, Regis University
graduate student, and Phyllis Larison, Head of Adult Services at the Bemis
Public Library. World War II veteran Lou Trujillo and student Holly Velarde
are pictured here, following Holly's interview with Lou.
