Historic Littleton, Inc.

Historic Littleton, Inc. was formed in 1989, as the Second Century Fund, to solicit funds to provide low cost loans to property owners and businesses on Main Street. The focus of the Second Century Fund (SCF), so-called to launch the City of Littleton into the second 100 years, was to encourage preservation of Main Street and downtown Littleton.

SCF, renamed Historic Littleton, Inc. (HLI) in 2000, was instrumental in developing a strategic plan for Main Street, in saving Geneva Lodge from destruction, and in establishing a National Register District for downtown Littleton. SCF served as a conduit for grants from the State Historic Fund until the City took on this task.

As HLI in 2000, the non-profit corporation rewrote its bylaws to become a membership organization. HLI sponsors tours to historic buildings and sites in the metro area.
